What Happens in the KidZone 2-5 years old

Here at Crossroads Kidz Preschool, we want you to feel welcome and reassured that your child is safe and know that the Crossroads team has a desire to partner with you to help your child learn God’s Word and become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. 

The following gives you a glimpse of what happens in the KidZone with your preschooler:

• To check into class, stop by one of the Crossroads computer check-in stations. You will receive a parent receipt and your child will receive an identification name tag.
  
• A greeter will take your child to their age appropriate Small Group Room. Your child will be with consistent small group volunteers that have completed background checks.
  
• For the first 15 minutes during small group time, your child will be able to build relationships by participating in group activities, prayer, and watching an introductory video to the bible lesson.
  
• The rest of the service will be broken into 15 minute Creative Learning areas.  Your child will creatively be taught the bible lesson by visiting the Bible Story Room, the Worship/Puppet Room, the Snack Room, and the Game/Craft Room.  Each of these rooms will focus on bringing the lesson to life and helping your preschooler understand how it applies to them.  We strive to make each area hands-on, active, age-appropriate and fun.  We want children to be excited to learn God’s Word.
  
• For the last 15 minutes, children will return to their Small Group Room to review what they learned, pray and wait for you to pick them up.
  
• At dismissal please bring your ID tag to the check-in desk and a greeter will bring your child to you. Just in case you lose your tag, please have identification to show to dismissal attendants.
