WHAT IS PARTICIPATING
MEMBERSHIP?
Membership at Glad Tidings is special and is meant to be meaningful to both the member and the church. It's more than merely joining the church-it's becoming an active participant. Our goal is to help our regular attendees move from spectators to active players and help them become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Starting Point is your first step to getting connected at Glad Tidings! Starting Point is an 8-week course that is designed to help you understand the basics of the Christian Faith and encourage you in the beginning of your own faith journey. |

HOW DO I BECOME
A MEMBER?
- Investigation. Participate in the Next Step to learn more about Glad Tidings and what membership means.
- Affirmation. Members will have publically declared their faith in Jesus Christ by being water baptized. In addition, members will support the vision and doctrine of the church and live the believers lifestyle as outlined in the scriptures.
- Confirmation. All individuals seeking membership will complete and submit an application that will be reviewed and approved by our Board of Deacons.
- Celebration. New members are presented to the church family at a weekend service so that the church community can celebrate together with you.
BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
In addition to accountability, membership provides the opportunity for leadership development.
The church conducts an Annual Business / Vision meeting where members participate in the discussion and election of the Deacon Board.
In addition, as a member of GT you have a voice in major decisions that are made within the church. Occasionally we will call a "members-only" meeting for other purposes.
Also, all staff and certain leadership positions are reserved for members only.
