Romanian Missions Trip 2009

Small Groups Supporting the
Romanian Mission Trip

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ - The Romanian Mission Team of Glad Tidings needs your help! Can you bake? Do you have a few scarves or eyeglasses laying around? Do you have an upcoming dentist appointment that you could ask your dentist for some toothbrushes/toothpaste donations? How about an eye appointment scheduled- we need reading glasses! Please take a few minutes to read the attached flyer and see if you, your small group, or your family could help with any of the needed items or bake a few things.(You could even call a friend and ask them or forward this to your home group from church) If everyone that reads this web page would take a few minutes to donate one thing, we would be well on our way to reaching our goals. The bake sale will take place on May 23 and 24th after all the services.

Thanks so much and may the Lord bless you for your kindness as you think about "the least of these".

Serving Together, Judy Loeper

From July 30th - August 10th a team from Glad Tidings will be traveling to Romania on a missions trip. In preparation for this trip, we are hoping that some of the small groups would be able to participate with us by helping with a bake sale on May 23rd & 24th as well as partner with us in collecting much needed items. We would like to see as many small groups participate as possible in this mission outreach.

Here are four key areas that a small group could target:

  1. Sign up to bake and help man the stands on May 23rd & 24th. Have a fun evening of “baking” with your small group – items can even be frozen and then delivered on Saturday, May 23rd to the church kitchen.
  2.  Help to collect items for the children’s ministry outreach: Wrapped hard candy, gum, small toy prizes, balloon pumps & animal balloons, crayons, pencils, colored markers, and pens.
  3. Help to collect items for the women’s ministry outreach: toothbrushes & small toothpastes (many dentists will donate these), small travel lotions and shampoos, head scarves (sheer / silky), small gifts for ladies, and new pantyhose.
  4. Collecting reading glasses (new or used)

Items can be dropped off in room ‘113’ anytime after Easter **
You can call Judy Loeper at 610-856-5037 or email her at jamloe@dejazzd.com for more information. Team leaders are needed for each committee.
Please join us as we partner together in Christ.
